My passion for the sport of pool began at the age of thirteen, when I started to practice for countless hours on my parent’s Brunswick Gold Crown III table in our basement. I grew up in Wausau, Wisconsin, in a household of “pool lovers,” and had a natural knack for the game. When I was fifteen, I began playing in local bar box 9-ball and 8-ball tournaments.

I graduated with a BA in communication with a media & technology emphasis from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. In my first year of college, my love for music drew me to the student-run radio station, WWSP 90 FM, where I hosted a weekly jazz show for over four years. I also minored in English and have been a lifelong writer and literature fan.

While in college, my passion for pool increased… to the point of distraction, in fact. I joined my first league on campus as a freshman, then joined an all-female team on a men’s BCA league in 2004. From there, I began to travel to tournaments around Wisconsin and Minnesota, playing on the Dr. Pool Native American Casino Pool Tour and the Six Arrows Native American Casino Tour.

Since graduating, I relocated to New York to become part of the NYC Grind team, which is truly my “dream job.” I’m also working hard to further my career as a pool player. I play on the Predator 9-ball Tour, Tri-State Tour, J. Pechauer Northeast Women’s Tour, and the Amsterdam Billiards 9-ball team league.

I am sponsored by Jacoby Custom Cues of Nekoosa, WI, who I joined as a player representative in July, 2009.  You can visit Jacoby on the web at www.jacobycustomcues.com to learn more about their award-winning custom cues.
