Women’s World 9-Ball Championships Down to the Final 8 Pool Players

64 of the worlds greatest pool players embarked on a journey to Shengyeng, China to see who will be the 2009 Women’s World 9 Ball Champion just a few days ago. As the tournament continues wind down, there are only 8 women remaining in search for the coveted title.

Since the tournament has shifted to single elimination the women are in a race to who can reach 9 games first for the opportunity to move on to the next bracket.

Pool is hot in Asia and all eyes are on Shengyeng, China for the Women’s World 9-Ball Championships sponsored by athletic wear company, Kappa.

Bracket Breakdown:

1. WPBA stars Xiaoting Pan will be facing off with Yu-Ram Cha.

2. Zhou Doudou will face Karen Korr

3. Fu Xiaofang will battle with Chen Xue

4. Liu Shasha will be matching up with Liu Shin-Mei

Chen Xue defeated Allison Fisher in a “Hill-Hill” victory knocking out the winningest Women’s player of all time. Allison was inducted in the BCA Hall of Fame this year in October. (Click Here to watch the video produced by NYCgrind.com)
