On Halloween day, 32 players came to Gotham City Billiards in Brooklyn, a new location on the Tri-State Tour’s roster to compete in their 1-day B-C-D event.  This was a great location with an old-school feel and lots of pool and sports memorabilia.

Although a number of the Tri-State Tour’s top players were vying for at win at Gotham City, Tony Eglesias had a breakthrough performance to go undefeated. His trail of wins include victories over Alison Fischer 7 - 3, Marc Koellhoffer 8 - 3, Yomaylin Feliz 7 - 5, and Duane Toney 7 - 4.

To get the the hot seat, Eglesias matched up against Robert Kight, who he downed 7 - 1.  This sent Kight to wait for the winner of the one-loss bracket.

On the one-loss side side of the chart, newcomer to the tour Ricky Deng, who has only been playing for one year, was tearing it up with wins over recent Tri-State winner Yomaylin Feliz 6 - 5, Gerard Gormley 7 - 3, and Chris Luethi 8-2.

This set Deng up for the quarterfinal, where he played Duane “Wu-Tang” Toney.  Wu-Tang had recovered from his loss to Tony Eglesias in the winner’s side final four to handily defeat Mike Gasper 7 - 2.  Deng did not prove to be much more challenging, as Toney won 6 - 3.

In the semifinal, Wu-Tang faced Robert Kight in a match that would be a true battle.  Neither players were giving any openings to the other, but at hill-hill. Kight overcame Toney for a final score of 7-6 to move onto the finals in a rematch against Tony Eglesias.

Despite the wait, Tony Eglesias dominated the final match against Robert Kight to win by a score of 7-2.  Congratulations to Tony for a great win in Brooklyn on Halloween.

The Tri-State Tour would like to give special thanks to Sterling Gaming, Ozone Billiards, and our other sponsors for their continued support in our favorite sport.  The Tri-State also sends their thanks to the owners of Gotham City Billiards (Kevin and Isabel Buckley) for providing the players with perfect playing conditions in beautiful surrounding.
