Meet the Cast of “9-Ball” The Movie at Amsterdam Billiards on Friday, October 30th

There has been plenty of buzz on the web and throughout pool circles about the recently-released trailer for “9-Ball” The Movie. Set to feature two of the most recognizable figures in pro pool, Jeanette Lee and Jennifer Barretta, “9-Ball” was inspired by rise in participation of women in the sport of pool, and the challenges that aspiring female players face while learning what it really takes to succeed in the game.

However, the latest news from the producers of this forthcoming feature film is that New York’s own “Queen B” Borana Andoni, has also recently been cast in the movie.  Borana has recently been blazing through amateur events, and continually competing (and often winning) against the men to push her game further… which may just put her on the fast track to the WPBA.

If you want to get a chance to meet the stars of “9-Ball” in person, all fans of the movie will have that opportunity on Friday, October 30. Amsterdam Billiards, along with “9-Ball” The Movie creator & director Tony Palma along will be hosting the “9-Ball” The Movie Fan Party, which will run from 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm.

Along with meeting the stars of the movie, there will be a free raffle to win the Lucasi Hybrid break cue used by Jennifer Barretta in the movie.  NYC Grind will also be covering the 9-Ball Party, so if you go you will definitely catch us capturing video and photography of the event.  We hope to see you there!
