“Queen B” Borana Andoni is Victorious at the Gotham Billiards Tri-State

Borana Andoni finished off the month of January with a bang, as she went undefeated at the Tri-State Tour’s Gotham City Billiards B/C/D event on Saturday, January 30th, 2010. 28 of the toughest amateur players from the NY area came out to compete at this classic Brooklyn pool room in this $750-added event.
Coming through the winner’s bracket, Borana Andoni had a dominant 8-4 win against Mel McCullen in the final four. In the other final four match-up one of Long Island’s breakthrough players, Justin Muller knocked Allen Wong to the one-loss side after a hill-hill battle.
This set Borana and Justin to face off for the “hot seat”, to guarantee a spot in the finals. With Justin rated a “B+” and Borana a “B”, Borana would get one game on the wire in a race to 7, and the two would have a close battle that Borana would win 7-5.
